The thermochromic paint turns from a coloured and opaque state (when cold) to a transparent and colourless state when it reaches or exceeds the approximate temperature for which it is programmed. It is reversible, which means that when the temperature drops, the paint becomes opaque and colourful. This change can occur several thousand times. It is important to note that the thermochromic paint should not be exposed to sunlight, or overheated, as it is very sensitive to UV or high temperatures: After a long exposure to the sun or overheating, the paint can not change of colour or will be poorly responsive. Its resistance to radiations can be improved, by using our anti UV clearcoat, in thick coat. In all cases, this paint should not be applied over any object that stays outdoors.
