Systems for chroming - silver spraying equipment 

StardustColors now offers 3 chrome plating systems : these are simple equipment that allows paint spraying with a chrome plating machine. These chrome plating techniques are not painting processes and do not produce real hard chrome : they are decorative chrome effects, in the form of a layer of pure silver, sprayed with chrome plating machines, which creates a mirror on a shiny undercoat, thanks to a chemical process known as silvering.

The differences between Pro and Expert chrome plating machines

The main difference between our two spray stations lies in the volume of the tanks (in L), and therefore the ability to treat a surface (in m²) :
The differences between the small Pro model and the large Expert model are :

• the size of the tanks : 9 liters for the "Pro" or 18 liters for the "Expert"

• pressure adjustment is simplified for the Pro

• a rolling metal chassis for the “Expert”. The Pro is delivered without structure or wheels.

Between these two chrome plating machines, the result and quality of the “silver mirror layer” is identical. The major difference is the volume of the tanks : the 18 liter tanks can chrome up to 6 m² while the 9 liter tanks can treat 3 m². A saving is made with the "Pro" chrome plating machine thanks to the elimination of the activator tank, which is replaced by a gun with a 600ml cup.

Machine Pro

The technique of silvering is a century-old process (mirrors are made by silvering) which is in every way different from painting, because it uses a machine, as well as chemicals. The Chrome Plating Machine Pro is the easiest and most affordable tool to implement this new technology. This not only gives a 100% chrome effect, but it also has some significant advantages.

Machine Expert

• It is environmentally friendly, as the different liquids used for chrome plating are water-based, and contain absolutely no heavy metals.

• It is possible to chrome, with the expert chrome plating machine, surfaces up to 4 or 6 square meters in one go, whatever the nature of the support (metal, aluminum, plastic, green, wood, etc.)

• It is more accessible and more economical than the electroplating process, which is expensive, laborious and increasingly regulated.

Colored chrome effects :
Our chrome machines make it possible to create layers of mirror silver that can be colored in gold, blue, green, red or even black..., simply by applying "Candy" colored polish on top.

Spare parts for chrome plating are immediately available and inexpensive
The equipment is made with high quality materials produced in Europe, and they are reduced to the simplest (Tanks, hoses, sprayers) to make the accessible stations at the price level, and to allow easy and economical maintenance.

Disadvantages :
- The process is only decorative, and cannot be compared with the resistance of hard chrome. It remains fragile to UVs and also to shocks, because it is made up of three layers "lacquer / silver layer / clearcoat).
