For cat topcoats, Stardust® offers the BS830 which is an Ultra High Solid topcoat, equivalent to the best topcoats of the biggest bodywork paint brands.

Each of our car offers is delivered in a "complete kit" (topcoat, hardener and thinner), sufficient to paint a complete vehicle.

Bodywork varnish : a long lasting and robust automotive clearcoat

StardustColors® is the distributor for BS Refinish® brand: these products are made in Europe, and their effective formulas have been tested and appreciated by coachbuilder painters since 2009, all over the globe, under extreme cold or very high temperatures. Their glossiness and their resistance are excellent and long-lasting, and they are available at very competitive prices.

StardustColors, as an independent French manufacturer, launched in 2017 two first high-end super UHS bodywork topcoats, Wet Speed and Cerastar ceramic topcoat, both produced in-house. Formulated using the latest generation resins and additives, these exceptional car topcoats show forced air drying, as well as impressive glossiness and thickness.

The new varnish Super Ultra High Solid

The automotive chemicals and coatings industry is a cutting edge sector in constant evolution. StardustColors innovates and walks in the footsteps of large manufacturer groups, going from conventional topcoat formulas to the new efficient and environmentally friendly Super UHS topcoats.

These new solvent-based acrylic topcoats called “super ultra High Solid” show all the advantages and open a new era in the field of bodywork: a very accelerated and complete curing process, being both time and energy saving.

Topcoats, such as "ceramics" and "Wet Speed" are said « super UHS » because they contain even less evaporable solvents than UHS, and more solids. As a result we get thicker topcoats, more covering, more resistant and less polluting, thanks to a very low VOC level.

MS bodywork varnish

The particularity of MS bodywork varnishes is that they contain fewer polymers, less thickness. These are products that are no longer used or produced. Their quality represents the lowest grade in the quality scale of bodywork products.

HS bodywork varnish

Still used, with specific names and properties (anti-scratch, anti-UV), HS bodywork varnishes are good quality products (High Solid) but do not meet the standards required by the VOC standard (European standards).

Quick-dry varnish

Quite spectacular, on many levels, such as thickness, shine, speed of hardening, new types of quick-dry varnish have appeared since 2018 on the market.

Bodywork varnish spray

Among the many so-called auto varnishes that are offered here and there, in supermarkets or specialized stores, only bi-component bodywork varnish spray cans are a professional quality product that provides good protection and good durability.

Ceramic car varnish

Resulting from new technologies and scientific progress, especially in the field of new innovative resins, ceramic car varnishes offer unparalleled hardness and better protection for vehicles.
