Body spray paints are prepared the same day at the factory and then shipped. Our selection of original vehicle brand paints (car color codes), effect paints, primers and 2C body spray varnishes, is very complete, and is above all technical, rather than generalist.
* Our “pro” products are selected for their high quality and efficiency. More than 50 references in stock are available to you via the site. They cannot be found in big box stores or "mainstream" chain stores. We equip our aerosol “boxes” with special triangular jet nozzles, not “round” jets, in order to imitate spraying with a gun.
Pressurized containers hold 300 to 400ml. We remind you that, like all pressurized products, these usually contain 25% product (solvent-based paint) and 75% propellant gas.
Can you paint as well and get the same results as a professional spray painted job ?
Perfectly ! First of all because the products we fill in pressure vessels are the same as those we offer in pots for bodybuilders.
In addition, spraying with the new "V" nozzles is very efficient and gives a perfectly applied paint, in a thick or thin layer depending on the type of primer, in thin layers for "matt clearcoat bases", and two-component varnishes with a shine and a "wet effect" almost equaling varnishes for bodywork professionals.
Our team remains at your disposal to support you in your painting project : consult our technical department by email 7 days a week.
The technique for spray painting a car differs slightly from spray painting. Here are the 3 basic tips to follow when painting with a spray paint on a car :
- Shake the spray paint well before use for 10 seconds, and renew the agitation regularly to maintain optimal pressure.
- Regularly wipe the nozzle and the rim of the can, to avoid the projection of drops on the bodywork.
- Preferably, always start with a thin veil, to allow better adhesion of the paint and avoid drips.
As for the gesture and technique for applying aerosol type paints on a car body, read our next paragraph.
At the end of use, turn the can of paint over and press to "purge".
A well done and successful painting is essentially the right amount of paint deposited on the support.
Rule N°1 is to always keep the aerosol jet perpendicular to the surface (jet at 90° facing the support). Whatever the shapes, flat, angular or tubular, the wrist must be flexible and follow the curves of the surface
Always keep the same distance of 15-20 cm constantly between the moving paint can and the surface.
Strive for a “mechanical” arm with smooth, perfectly even speed when spraying. The movements are from left to right, then from right to left.
The faster the movement, the farther you are, the less paint you deposit on the support (risk of too dry a layer or "powdering" because it dries in mid-flight. The slower you go, the more you will wet and load the support (risk of runs).
Once you have mastered this concept, you must differentiate the quantities to be applied for each type of bodywork paint :
For primers, load for primers of the type filling, and on the contrary, make very thin coats for primers.
For bases and paints : make quick passes (thin coats) for optimal placement of pearl and metal particles. quickly succeed the coats.
For lacquers and clearcoats, allow a slow speed (thick and shiny coats)
Space the coats 5 to 10 minutes depending on the ambient temperature.
