Among the reaction effect paints, we offer the rust effect paint which, thanks to its pigments and activator, creates a truly rusty and weathered surface in just 24 hours. The rust color paint is perfectly realistic, both visually and to the touch.
These magnetic and conductive products are able to conduct electricity and become magnetised paints. Rust color paint is extremely simple to use, and anyone can succeed in applying it perfectly. These formulas consist of ultrafine iron pigments. The phenomenon of oxidation, aided by the chemical activator, is real : it is not an imitation. The paint is covering and is easy to paint without any run.
The products are delivered in a complete kit, with the paint (to be stirred perfectly before use), its hardener, thinner and activator. Use is done with a brush or preferably a spray gun.
These two special paints contain iron, in the form of 50 micrometre pigments of great purity. It is a kind of metallic paint, with an anthracite appearance, in which the aluminium has simply been replaced by steel.
As for our conductive or anti-waves paints, these contain different pigments, based on pure and highly conductive graphite.
The rust effect paint gives an extremely resistant finish. This rust color paint has a final thickness almost similar to that of a conventional body paint. Nevertheless, its density is very high, making it very heavy.
Magnetic paint is about the same paint in its composition and is used to create surfaces where magnets can be used.
If you are looking for a genuine, natural rust color, with its orange, grey, red and black colors, it is best to allow this paint to "breathe" and move over time. Its surface may oxidize with time and humidity, but this is only a superficial change. This paint can be washed to remove excess orange stains.
Rust paint does not degrade like metal : it remains firmly fixed in its thickness.
Of course, it is possible to varnish with a body topcoat, but not any kind of topcoat. This protects the paint from water and thus prevents it from rusting further and staining clothing.
An anti-corrosion topcoat should be used, which will block rust and allow the paint to adhere to the surface, which is at least 30% metal.
You can also use a matt topcoat, which is much more recommended than a glossy topcoat, in order to remain invisible and not to create shiny reflections.
