This high performance protection technology for automotive, architectural and industrial coatings is the result of the recent discovery of some very specific resins, which can be applied by dipping, spraying or wiping and can be dried either by air or by baking. These resins form a real microscopic glass coating.
Liquid nano Quartz products have exceptional characteristics: in fact, apart from their unequalled hardness, these resins can adhere to almost any type of material, even glass and even chrome.
Liquid nano quartz based protections have another exceptional quality : the absorption and blocking of UV rays. These ceramic protections are therefore an extraordinary solution for the protection of surfaces exposed to the exterior, the weather and the sun.
In the industry, nano-ceramic protections can also be relied upon thanks to their resistance to temperatures of up to 1000° C.
Ceramic resins are very liquid products. They have a very high evaporation rate of about 95%. This means that when a 25 micron coat is applied, about one micron remains dry after evaporation.
Particular care must be taken to clean the spray guns and instruments as the product once cured is almost impossible to remove with solvents.
A nano-ceramic protection has a very variable lifespan, which will depend of course on the level of mechanical and chemical aggression that it will withstand. It is also important to take into account the thickness, because three coats will last three times longer than a single coat. It is therefore advisable, to obtain maximum resistance, to apply as many coats as possible.
We remind you that nano-ceramic protections are very hard but also very thin. Thus, it forms an effective barrier against scratches but not against shocks.
