On the contrary, the 1K basecoat type paint to be topcoated must be applied with a bodywork topcoat, which gives it shine and resistance. It is a two-step paint system, which today represents more than 95% of the colours in the world of professional bodywork. It is an easier-to-apply paint that does not run and dries very quickly.

Be sure to study the detailed instructions on the product page. Achieve  excellent preparation of the support, with sanding at 500. Use a degreaser and a sticky anti-dust pad before applying the paint and the topcoat.

It is of course necessary to have a bodywork topcoat to topcoat your AIXAM paint. It is important to have a scale or a measuring cup in order to mix the topcoat with its hardener and its thinner.

AIXAM paint is normally ready to use, except for large packaging, in which the thinner is delivered separately. It will be enough to simply add between 50 and 70 percent in your paint, then stir.

The history of the AIXAM manufacturer

Did you know that the manufacturer AIXAM is of French origin ? This micro car company was founded in 1983 and it is owned by POLARIS Industries.
This Savoy-based company produces mini-cars known in automotive jargon as "micro cars". When it was created, it belonged to the insurance and investment group AXA, then was later bought by the American group POLARIS.

It was in 1992 that the AIXAM design team began production of a range of standard size vehicles under the name "MEGA".

However, most AIXAM vehicles are very small vehicles intended for  drivers without a licence. Some of the smaller models have a speed limit of 45 km/h.
Some of these models are also classified in Great Britain as bicycles (quadricycles).
The AIXAM car has engines of 0.4L or sometimes 505 cubic centimetres. The fastest vehicles in the range can reach speeds of 93 km/h. There are petrol and diesel engines.
