The history of the manufacturer Husqvarna

Husqvarna is a Swedish industrial group founded before 1900. The motorcycle branch of the group is called “Husqvarna Motorcycles”.

His adventure began in 1903, with the first production of bicycles, then very quickly, of motorized bicycles, what today we can call the first motorcycles.

Although little is known about the Husqvarna brand, it is truly one of the pioneers in the world. There is perhaps no other motorcycle manufacturer who has already produced in 1903, two-wheeled machines with an engine capable of reaching speeds of 50 km/h !

The manufacture of engines is one of the specialties of the engineers of the company who, from 1909, will produce 4-stroke engines and several speeds, with a displacement approaching 550 cubic centimeters, which is enormous for the 'era. Husqvarna will thus be the first supplier of the Swedish army. She will then participate in many endurance races. As early as 1920, Husqvarna created large factories to mass-produce its motorcycles.

Today, Husqvarna Motorcycles is a designer of motorcycles primarily aimed at the Cross. The brand has a unique reputation among all cross country enthusiasts. These are the bikes for motocross par excellence. The (formerly Swedish) company is now based in Austria and is owned by the KTM group.
