The chrome effects are perfectly flexible thanks to the thinness of their coat ( less than 3 microns).
Our processes always involve an undercoat (2K hard paint), the first step before chroming. This is the first step before chrome plating, so it is never in direct contact with the support material. This metallisation coat is then protected « in sandwich », by a clearcoat which ensures its protection.
After painting or metallising, the imitation of shiny metal is excellent and can be measured from 70 to 80% for the painting option, and 100% for the chemical silvering option. The metallisation effect obtained produces a true mirror effect and represents a real technical feat, given the simplicity of its realisation.
For the two chromium plating solutions we propose, the result depends essentially on the brightness and hardness of the undercoat, on which all the micro-particles of metal will be placed, perfectly flat.
We remind you that these are essentially decorative techniques, which cannot replace the extreme resistance of real chrome obtained by galvanisation.
Famous for a century, the chroming and metallising by silver plating process, also known as silver mirror, uses the reduction of silver nitrate to create a thin metal film of 0.1µm. This process gives a 100% chrome plating appearance. It is applied by spraying the products diluted in water on a shiny background.
Popularised by StardustColors, chrome paints are made of ultra fine aluminum particles of perfectly flat and regular shape. These products are best applied with an air gun on a glossy surface.
