Bike paint with effects lists very special products, both in their specific application and in their appearance, once applied and dry.

In the end, these are bike paints with unusual colours, which enhance the material and catch the eye with their beauty. Most of the special paints are not very difficult to be applied, but they do require a bit of technical skill.

Special effects for bike paint

With our kits, you can achieve sensational finishes at a lower price, which are offered as an option ex works by bicycle manufacturers at prices of up to a thousand euros.

The method always consists of several steps, with a multi-layer structure.

Each "effect" is offered in a complete kit : this means that all the special effect products, their base and varnish, are included (except accessories and equipment) in sufficient quantity to paint a bike.

Not included in the special effect bike paint kits are adhesion or filling primers, levelling primers, but also additional specific putties and varnishes. All these products are optional.

Questions about drying and coating

Some things are important to know and understand about drying time :

When painting under normal conditions (15 - 25 °C), paints dry in the open air very quickly (5 - 30 min to the touch). With the exception of varnish, which is a two-component product that hardens with a catalyst in 2 hours.

Once a paint or varnish is dry, if it is covered with a new coat, it will not be able to adhere perfectly without sanding.

That is why when overcoating paints, one takes advantage of the time interval during which they are still fresh and sticky.

The application of stickers

They're always located, on the paint and under the varnish.

They can be applied on top of the paint, once it is dry to the touch. If they take a long time to be applied, you will have to sand the paint lightly beforehand, so that the varnish will adhere well.

Our varnishes are suitable for all types of PVC adhesives.

On the general resistance :

The varnishes supplied in the complete bike paint kits are ultra-resistant varnishes. They are bodywork varnishes, which ensure excellent resistance to shocks and scratches. The gloss has a long life, beyond 10 years.

They are professional products, supplied with their catalyst and thinner, easy to apply.

In our complete bike paint kits, they can be supplied in different product pots, but also in special 2-component aerosol sprays.
