We offer car paint solutions for underbody (primers, paints and topcoats) that can handle the tougher conditions without breaking down after a few months.
How to repair a rusty car paint on underbody ?
The areas in question can be made of metal, plastic or paint. It is important to know that in order to have a resistant car paint, it is necessary to have a good adhesion!
When it comes to metal, we will have to deoxidize the area, if there is rust (rub, sand, strip), apply a rust converter, then apply an "aluminum" filler and a primer.
When it comes to plastic, that is to say really bare plastic, and not painted plastic, then we may want to give it a new look with a matte or gloss topcoat (technique developed below).
These areas of the bodywork are closest to the ground and are subject to all kinds of rubbing and stone chips.
The paint or topcoat in the front line must be particularly resistant.
The metallic areas of the underbody of the car are also subject to permanent contact with abrasion, but also oxidizing elements such as water, dirt, salt....
As for car paints for 4x4 bodies, they must be very adherent, thick and resistant. Although their aesthetic function is not essential, we will see below that they can be personalized with colors or effects.
The Raptor product is the reference in the field of pickup trucks, with a huge thickness and a hardness that can withstand all tests.
If the side underbody area follows the extension of the bodywork, then to order the car paint you simply need to find out its color code, the code specific to the vehicle brand. We will take care of the tinting for you in a can or with a spray gun.
In this case, the classic steps are the preparation with or without primer, then the painting, then the varnishing with a topcoat (any one) but added with an additive which makes it more flexible and less sensitive to impacts, scratches and cracks.
We can remove the whitening or restore the shine and condition of the car underbody plastic with a satin, matte or glossy topcoat.
Please note that these underbody plastics are made of PP or PE. These types of underbody plastics are frankly not the easiest materials to paint because they are difficult to adhere to. By rubbing them with our abrasive sponges and a little thinner, we can then prime them with a clear plastic primer, then paint them in the process to give them a new lease of life !
The Raptor is an easy to apply and extremely effective product. It is a very thick, two component product that is applied with a blaxon gun. It paints very thickly and does not run. It adheres very well, covers defects and creates an ultra-thick and robust protective coating.
For those who want to combine protection and style, then there is the colorless version of Raptor, which allows all the fantasy, adding fluorescent pigments, glow-in-the-dark, or even colors or glitter.
