For 5 m² of bodywork, 1 L of diluted paint is necessary
For 1 m² of bodywork, 250 ml of diluted paint is enough

Alfa Romeo paint codes
It is easy to know your code in a few moments, by looking at different places on the bodywork of your vehicle: generally the reference of your paint is on the inside of the passenger door. The color code consists of 3 to 5 characters (letters and numbers)

Our paints are of professional quality
These are matt bases to be varnished, more precisely: single-component solvent-based paints.
They are applied as part of a traditional bodywork system composed of paint followed by varnish

This type of paint is always supplied with a thinner, which allows the viscosity to be adjusted according to the painter's preference and according to his gun. We supply the already diluted version for all small packaging

The primer
To make a touch-up, it is not necessary to apply a primer coat, or a primer.
A primer is necessary in the case of scratches, or application of a putty.

Mix the paint
250/500 ml pot: ready to use
1L/2L kit pot: pure paint to be diluted with 50 to 70% thinner

Implementation

Preparatory step

It is very important to take particular care in the preliminary preparation of the support, by cleaning the surface well, sanding with 500 paper, dusting and ensuring that the surface is perfectly dry and free of any invisible contaminants

Spray the Alfa Romeo color code paint

Stir the paint well or shake the spray can.
Apply 2 to 3 coats. The important thing is not the number of coats, but the coverage of the support. It is preferable to apply thin coats, and it is not recommended to apply thick coats. Between each coat you can wait 5 minutes. It all depends on the ambient temperature.
Regardless of the spraying method, you must always paint perpendicular to the support and at a fixed distance of between 10 and 15 centimeters from the support. We start from left to right then from right to left, with equal speed.

The complete surface drying time of this paint is 30 minutes.
It is essential to apply the varnish before the paint dries, that is to say 30 minutes, otherwise the varnish can no longer adhere properly.

Varnishing

This step provides a high level of resistance to all wear factors and also provides a beautiful glossy finish. Varnishing must be done with a professional 2-component varnish. It is always done using 2 coats, no less, no more.

In order to be shiny, durable, resistant to the sun and hydrocarbons, we recommend the bodywork varnishes from our range, in particular our 830 UHS varnish.
