This professional automotive quality paint is suitable for decoration, customization, on helmets, jet skis, bicycles, and any other type of prepared supports*.

Solvent-based paint has obvious advantages, with first of all very fast drying and easy application. The paint allows easy sanding, and the use of adhesives without risk of peeling. It is a paint that is very resistant to dripping because it is very thin and dries quickly. In addition, it is estimated that the lifespan of a solvent-based paint is almost double that of a water-based paint.

As it is a 1-component paint, it is part of the professional bodywork system, consisting of 2 steps: painting, followed by varnish

How much paint to choose?
The yield of this paint in diluted version, that is to say ready to use, is 5 m² max for 1 liter.

Use of the paint
Shake the aerosol vigorously for 60 seconds / stir the paint in the pot perfectly using a ruler, before using it with a paint gun.

It is possible to use all types of gun, we advise to choose a paint gun, equipped with a nozzle with a size between 1 mm and 1.4 mm.

The paint is very fluid and applies easily.

The paint delivered in kit can be diluted with its thinner according to a mixing ratio of approximately 100 parts of paint for 60 parts of thinner
(mixture by weight or volume)

The base:
It must be prepared and sanded with great care, with P500 abrasive paper. The sanding grain is important, it is not recommended to do a finer sanding, if you want to guarantee perfect adhesion between the layers.

It is advisable to work on a support primed with a homogeneous color (for example gray). Each Cadillac color code usually recommends a single primer color. In order to simplify your task, our preparer will warn you if you need a specific color. If you have ordered a primer, we will take care of automatically putting the right color corresponding to your original Cadillac shade.

We recommend applying 200 g of diluted paint per square meter.
The number of coats is not important. What matters is to apply thin coats, to respect a minimum drying time between each coat (to allow the solvents to evaporate), and to cover the background properly*.

Finishing varnish
We always use a glossy clearcoat. It is always applied in 2 glossy coats applied one after the other, with an interval of 10 minutes.

Some advice on preparing the surface
If you are working on a raw material, then you must use a suitable adhesion primer.
If you are going to paint on a scratched and uneven background, then you need a filling primer.
If you are working on an old paint in good condition, you just need to do a light sanding with 500 grit sandpaper.

Always take great care to prepare your surface so that it is completely clean, free of dust, grease, and humility.

Conservation
Keep these flammable paints away from heat and possible sources of ignition. Follow the safety instructions when using and storing them.
The paint can be kept for several months or even several years in its tightly closed pot.
