In the world of the "hobby" and more generally of what is called model paints, there are mainly two distinct activities which are related to table games (in which game paints intervene) and paints for toys, a very specialized field. The latter is little known to the general public, and is referred to as SOFUBI (paintings on PVC-type toys). Game painting and in particular wargame paintings (war games) appeal to a very rich, fantastic and timeless universe, because we find ancient, medieval or even futuristic atmospheres and characters.

However, there are several thousand specialists in this advanced field known as Sufobi paints. These amateurs or professionals use a very special, shiny, hard and ultra-fast drying vinyl paint, which is applied directly to toys from the imagination of Japanese manga (robot, heroes, monsters, creatures, etc.).
