DERBI motorcycle paints - Manufacturer's colors in solvent-based varnish base

We offer the manufacture of DERBI motorcycle colors, from a manufacturer's color code. Our paints are professional solvent-based matte bases, which can be used for customization, vehicle decoration, and painting any type of properly primed objects.

To order your DERBI paint, you must first choose the quantity of paint and the format, using the drop-down menu at the top of the page.

Allow approximately 250ml of diluted paint for 1 m² of surface.

You can then choose the delivery method and payment method.

Your DERBI color code must be sent by email to colors@stardustcolors.com just after.

The DERBI color code
If you have the reference of your paint, then you can check it with us, by contacting us beforehand at colors@stardustcolors.com. We will be able to confirm that we have this color in the DERBI motorcycle database.

If you do not have your color code, then it will not be possible to search on our side. You must first obtain this information, which is available in 2 forms:
- the DERBI color code, which contains 3 to 5 numbers or letters or
- the name of the color
You can ask the dealer or browse specialized forums.

Single-component solvent-based paint

Details of the offer:
We offer several sizes of DERBI paint packaging.
The already diluted paint is ready to use for formats up to 500 ml and aerosols.
As for the kits, they contain pure paint and thinner, delivered separately.

Mixing:
It is very important to stir the paint well before using it.
For pure paints, it should be noted approximately 50 to 70% thinner.

The primer
We recommend using a primer, although this is not mandatory in many cases.
The primer creates a perfectly smooth surface by erasing scratches.
It also creates a suitable and even colored background. Some Derbi colors are more or less transparent, and their appearance may appear different depending on the background color.
On the other hand, each Derbi factory color recommends a particular background color (white, different shades of gray, black)
Our order preparer will automatically put the primer that matches your color.

Preparation of the support
With a 500 grit abrasive sheet, carefully sand the background. The surface must be dry, degreased and dust-free.

Application
With a spray gun per paint (1.0 - 1.4 mm)
Apply a few thin coats until the background is completely covered.
Depending on the ambient temperature, wait 2 to 5 minutes between each coat

Varnishing
it is important to apply the gloss varnish no longer than 30 minutes after applying the paint. This ensures adhesion between the paint and the varnish.
We offer a range of professional two-component varnishes. We recommend the BS830 UHS varnish available in pots or aerosols.
