Where is the FORD paint code?

For FORD brand vehicles, the plate mentioning the color code (vinplate) can be found in three different places:
- Inside the engine compartment
- On the door leaf on the driver's side (Left side)
- On the door leaf on the passenger side (Right side)

The color code is always composed of three characters (letters or numbers).

IMPLEMENTATION of direct gloss FORD paint

THE MIXING is done by volume (not by weight) at 2:1:
- 100 volumes of well-stirred direct Ford gloss
- 50 volumes of hardener
- dilution according to the preference of the painter: around 10%

Caution: Once the hardener is added, the product must be used within 3 hours.

Before application:
Thoroughly degrease, clean, dust and prepare the raw surface if necessary (if it is metal, plastic, etc.)

On old paintings, in good condition, no primer is necessary: a light sanding with 800 is enough to create the grip.

Application:
Spray (1.2 - 1.5mm) in 1 or 2 coats (10min interval)
Recommended dry film thickness: 60µm for two coats

Drying:
Touch dry in 1 hour
Dry: 4-5h
