Gilding sheets - Mirror effect

Mirror Effect Gilding Sheets are part of the family of gilding leaves.

They are sold in a set of 12 sheets, each sheet measuring 14x14cm.

Mirror Effect Gilding Sheets are available in 4 different colours:

- Gold
- Silver
- Red
- Green


Preparation of the substrate:
The Mirror Effect Gilding Sheets can be applied over various substrates such as wood, plaster, glass, metal, cardboard...
It is mandatory that the object to gild is dry and clean

Glue Application: The Mirror Effect Gilding Sheets can be used with our 2 glues.

Gilding Glue - Mixtion: Use a brush or airbrush, allow to rest for 15min before
applying the mirror effect gilding sheet.

Glue for embossed gilding - Mixtion Relief: Apply directly from the tube to the cannula. Leave it to stand for 1 to 2 hours depending on the desired thickness of the embossed gilding before applying the mirror effect gilding sheet.

Application of the Mirror Effect Gilding Sheet:
Apply light pressure on the coloured side of the sheet. The silver side (without mirror effect) is the one that must be in contact with the gilding adhesive.
To protect the object against oxidation, use a clear coat as a finish.
To achieve patina effects, use aging patina.
