MBK motorcycle paints - Manufacturer's colors in solvent-based varnish base

Our color laboratory can produce your MBK shade according to a color code. This is a formula faithfully matched to the factory color of the MBK motorcycle and scooter manufacturer.

We absolutely need a color code to search the MBK database.

There is a limited number of MBK scooter colors available in our database. Some old or very recent shades are not yet copied.

Before placing the order, you can make sure that your color code exists, and also that we can mix it, by calling us or writing to us by email at colors@stardustcolors.com: we will respond within the day, 7 days a week.

To place the MBK paint order

- determine your paint needs (Plan 250ml / m²)
- create your basket and choose the shipping method, then proceed to payment.
- after ordering, send your MBK color code by email to colors@stardustcolors.com

If your order is placed during the day before 12 noon, our preparer will make your shade immediately and ship it the same day.

Nature, composition and mixture

This is a single-component solvent-based paint (1C).
This paint must be varnished.
It includes all opaque, pearlescent and metallic shades of the MBK brand
Product does not comply with Directive 2004/42/EC Annex II B. Paint product recommended for customization and decoration work on vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, jet skis, bicycles, helmets or collector cars. Also suitable for all objects, equipment, furniture and surfaces properly prepared and/or primed

The small 250 and 500 ml packages are ready to use. The kits include the paint in pure version accompanied by its thinner: Dilute between 50% and 70%

Preparation of the supports

On scooter fairings, it is usually painted and varnished plastics. In the absence of large scratches or impacts, no primer is necessary and a simple sanding with P500 paper can be carried out before painting.

Some MBK colors absolutely require a special background color. In this case we recommend the application of a white, gray, or black primer according to the color code. We offer the filling primer in aerosol, or in a pot. The appropriate color will be automatically provided to you in the event of an order.

Application of the paint

With a paint gun (nozzle 0.8mm - 1.4mm) or an aerosol.
Spray a few thin coats until the optimum shade is obtained.
Depending on the air temperature, it is advisable to respect a time interval between each coat of 2 to 5 min.
We recommend application at a temperature between 15° and 25°

Coating with varnish

It is imperative to varnish the MBK "base matt" paint with a professional bodywork varnish. Varnishing must take place within 30 minutes, after which time, sanding with an abrasive sponge will be necessary to recreate the necessary adhesion conditions between the paint and the varnish.

We offer a range of professional two-component varnishes. We recommend the BS830 UHS varnish available in pots or aerosols.
