PIAGGIO scooter paint: all original shades
We produce the factory colors of your scooter in solvent-based aerosol or pot format.
Here are the different packagings
To order your Piaggio factory color online, choose the format you want and the quantity you need, then tell us your Piaggio color code by email just after your order.
It's very simple, we prepare the paint as soon as we receive the order and ship it immediately.
Delivery can be made to your home, work, or a relay point.
Our paints are professional quality solvent-based formulas. We produce them using a colorimetry system that is updated every week. They are faithfully reproduced according to the original Piaggio color.
Our solvent-based paints have advantages over water-based automotive paints.
They dry faster, they are thinner, easier to work with and sand, and above all, they guarantee a long lifespan. For these paints, it is important to scrupulously follow the safety instructions after having read them.

The Piaggio color code
It is possible to reproduce a large part of the codes of a large part of the Italian scooter brand. In the scooter sector it is not always possible to find all the colours. We advise you to check before ordering, in order to know if your colour code is correct and if we have it in our database.
If you do not have your colour code, it is necessary to find it before contacting us.
Description of Piaggio paint
delivery of a single-component two-coat paint
already diluted versions for 0.25L and 0.5L pots
and pure versions for 1L kits (contains 0.5L of paint + 0.5L of thinner)
A two-coat paint and the standard painting system for a motorcycle: the system consists of a matt base to be varnished and then a varnish, which constitutes two layers
the primer
It is recommended, if the bodywork or fairings have scratches, to apply a primer. In this case, we automatically provide the color that is recommended for your Piaggio color code.
The primer is printed with a thick and covering filler, which is sanded after drying, and which will create a perfectly smooth base and ready to paint.
The color of the primer will allow the Piaggio paint to be identical to the original, especially when it is a semi-transparent shade. This is the case for most pearl colors.

How much paint should I order?
For 1 liter of diluted paint, we can reasonably expect 4 to 5 m² of painted surface.
For a maximum of 1 m², which is the minimum surface, then 250 ml are sufficient
for the spray versions, it is necessary to take into account the contents of the aerosol which contains both gas and paint: a 400 ml spray can cover 0.4 m²
Technical instructions
1 / The preparatory phase of the bodywork
In the event that the bodywork is particularly damaged, it may be necessary to first apply a putty, sand it with 500, then apply its primer.
If the base is in good condition, you can apply the paint directly, after sanding it with 500.
It is very important to respect the sanding grain if you want to avoid peeling.
The surface must be perfectly healthy and free of all invisible contaminants: dust, humidity, fingerprints, glue, silicones... for this it is better to use a degreaser and dust with a sticky pad just before painting
2/ Application of the paint
First of all, make sure to shake or mix the paint pots well.
You can use any pneumatic paint gun.
With an average pressure of 2.5 bars adapted to your gun, work in a clean environment and an ambient temperature between 25° and 15° minimum.
In cold weather, it is possible to paint by extending the evaporation times.
The application of Piaggio paint must be done with as many layers as necessary.
It is preferable to always apply very thin layers. Avoid "wet" layers.
With this type of paint, drying is quick, and you can apply the layers between 2 and 5 minutes.
Let the paint dry for 15 to 20 minutes then varnish.
The transparent finish.
On a motorcycle, there are matte varnishes and glossy varnishes.
Of course, if your finish is glossy, we advise you to use our glossy bodywork varnishes, which you can discover here. We suggest using an extremely glossy and durable varnish, which is also very affordable, it is the BS 830 UHS. It is a varnish with a high solid extract, which will protect your paint from all aggressions
