WHITE FABRIC
Micro porous laminated material
Inner layer: spun bonded polypropylene
Outer layer: micro porous polyethylene
Both layers are adhesively bonded together
BLUE FABRIC
3 layer polypropylene known as SMS (spun bonded/meltblown/ spun bonded)
Outer and inner layers: spun bonded polypropylene
Middle layer: meltblown polypropylene
All 3 layers are adhesively bonded together
Terms:
SPUN BONDED
This means that the fibres are randomly laid down to give maximum strength. (If fibres are laid down
in one direction then the fabric will only have strength in the direction of the fibres).
MELTBLOWN
The polypropylene fibres are randomly laid down and then heat applied to bond the fibres together.
MICRO POROUS POLYETHYLENE
A layer of micro-perforated polyethylene, this material filters out all particles below 0.8 microns.
