Chameleon paint kit with a choice of colors :

For choosing your products, you have to choose the color and the kit type

Color :

You choose from our color charts. You are free to choose from our two ranges.

Standard range : very nice cost-effective classical chameleons

Extreme range : Exceptionnal premium quality chameleons.

The type :

Spraycan kit : If you don’t have a spray gun and intend to do the job on your own, this kit includes all the necessary conditioned in a spraycan.

Kit in can : If you have available a compressor or a spray gun, or consider to have a professional do the job, you find here all the products in can format.

Spray paint (nozzle 1.0 - 1.4mm, 2.5 - 3.5 bars)

Presentation of the Chameleon effect :

It is ultra fine pearl paint, which apply over a black background, and whose color gradually appears with the passes. These are pure colors of light reflection, because the paints do not contain any dye. The colorful reflection changes depending on the viewing angle. Some chameleons can show up to 6 colors.

Instructions for painting the frame and the fork

The bike frame must be clean, prepared, with its former paint sanded in surface with abrasive sheet 500.

In order to get a natural adhesion, without any sanding, it would be better to follow 3 painting steps successively, without exceeding 30 min between each :

A – Apply the black base paint in a few fines passes

B– Apply the Chameleon paint in a few very fine passes until the black background is covered. Spray paint (nozzle 1.0 - 1.4mm, 2.5 - 3.5 bars)

C – Apply the varnish in 2 or 3 coats. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes between each pass. It is a high quality varnish offering an easy application, and an accelerated air drying : After 2 hours, the bike can be reassembled.

Do i need a primer coat ?

Before applying our paints, no primer is necessary, but in the following cases :

• The frame needs to be sanded off

• The background (former paint) is very uneven and the bike got numerous repairs.

In these cases, you need an adhesion primer or a levelling primer.

If you wish to strengthen your varnish and apply one or two passes more, to keep the paint from being hit by stone shards, you will find here our special varnishes and ceramic varnish.

How to apply stickers ?

Let the Chameleon paint dry for 1 to 2 hours, then wipe the surface with an abrasive sponge. Finally, apply the stickers and the varnish.
