Wet Palette for acrylic paints
Size: 182x132mm (useful working area)
Product in stock, order shipped the same day if placed before 11 a.m
The wet palette is a palette that delays the natural drying process of the paint used unlike traditional palettes.
This allows for more sustainable use of paint from the palette, allowing for longer work sessions without wasting paint.
Suitable for acrylic paints only. Ideal for hot, dry environments.
Content:
Refill sheets
Semi-permeable sulfurized paper with semi-translucent finish and high resistance weight.
This special paper allows water to be absorbed without letting the paint pass through. Featuring right-angled corners to fit the pallet perfectly.
Dimensions of a sheet: 130x180mm
Hydrophilic sponge
High-performance, high-thickness hydrophilic foam for better liquid retention, while avoiding the creation of wrinkles in the event of drying out.
Treated by Sanitized® to prevent mold and impurities, ensuring longevity and good reusability. This treatment is not infinite, however, so it will gradually lose its effectiveness against fungi, water changes and high temperatures. There is no precise date from which the mushrooms will appear, but proper storage of the sponges will prolong their effectiveness for several months.
Sponge size: 125x175mm
Shake your paint can properly, manually or with a mixer. Some acrylic paints tend to "separate" when they haven't been used for a long time, causing them to have a poor consistency.
Place a drop of paint on the wet palette instead of applying it directly to the surface, then let the controlled capillary action of the special paper ensure sufficient humidity to prevent paints from drying out for months.
Using a brush, spread and smooth the paint onto the paper, achieving the desired consistency. You can now add any other acrylic colors, thinner or mediums you want.
This tool will prevent novice painters from making the most common mistake of applying thick layers of paint to the model and thus covering most of the details. The wet palette will somehow force you to dilute your paints to a minimum, which will prevent you from making the classic mistake of using too concentrated a paint.
