We are manufacturers of automotive paint and our factory is located in the south of France.
We manufacture all factory colors and in particular VOLVO Paint that we can supply, either in a pot or in a 400 ml aerosol
Our Volvo paints are intended for touch-up work or complete painting work on private vehicles.
We produce all the manufacturer's colors from 1950 to today.
For all pearlescent and metallic shades, we offer the paint only in a matt base version to be varnished
The two-coat paint system, as its name suggests, consists of 2 steps:
1 - the application of a matt base (1C single-component paint)
2 - followed by the application of a varnish (2C two-component varnish)
The bodywork preparation step
When repainting a complete part or when repainting a bare part (metal).
When the old paint has been very damaged, or has been repaired with putty.
In these 3 cases, it is recommended to apply a primer.
The surface preparation step must be done with the greatest possible care, this will guarantee you every chance of succeeding in a beautiful painting job.
In the art of body painting, a prepared surface is a surface sanded with 500 grit, degreased (if the surface may have invisible contaminants such as silicones or greasy finger marks), dusted (with a tack pad), and dried of course.
Sanding should never be done finer than 500, otherwise the adhesion power is too low.
Mixing and applying Volvo paint
For small packages, the paints are already diluted.
For kit packages, the pure paint is supplied with its separate thinner.
In the latter case, mix approximately 2 parts paint to one part thinner (100:50-70)
The paint can be stored ready to use for several years
The application is done with an aerosol or with a gun equipped with a nozzle whose size is between 0.8 and 1.5 mm
2 layers spaced 2 to 5 minutes apart must be applied
It is possible to apply thinner and more numerous layers, this gives better results
It is important to apply the body varnish without delay, that is to say before the Volvo color code paint is completely dry on the surface. This is called painting wet on wet. For a 20° solvent-based matt base, the maximum time is 30 minutes for covering without sanding
Quick order method:
1/ choose your paint format: for this you can count on 1L ready to use = 4 to 5 m²
2/ Validate your basket then choose the shipping method, and pay
3/ Send the Volvo color code* by email after ordering
It is necessary for you to know the color code of your VOLVO car; Without this code we cannot do a search for you. The code is composed of 3 to 5 alphanumeric characters, it is generally found in the passenger door opening.
In case you need to check with us the existence or accuracy of a code, do not hesitate to write to us here colors@stardustcolors.com . We usually respond within 2 hours, and we respond 7 days a week
