More info

The blank transfer film to be printed allows you to create your own customised decoration, using a simple home inkjet printer.

> Only inkjet printers are suitable. In addition, it is necessary to use water-based inks, which is normally the case for all home printers.

Our Hydrographic Transfer (Hydro Dipping) Film is available in two widths:
- 21cm (the width of a standard printer for A4 sheet)
- 30cm
The product is sold by the meter (length).
Therefore, the quantity of product selected corresponds to the number of meters.

Customisable transfer film to print: User manual:

Prepare the part being treated (sand, clean, and prime if necessary)
Cut out a strip of film and place it in the printer.

Give sufficient time to the printed film to dry, lay it flat, and apply two passes (one in each direction) of Fixator A.
Allow to dry thoroughly then remove the transparent part of the film from its support.
Apply paint adhesives on all 4 edges that will serve as a support frame. The adhesives on all sides must be independent and should not be glued together.
The transfer film is now ready to be placed in a tray filled with water at 20 °C (with the printed side up)

Leave the film to settle for 30 to 60 seconds.
Spray the Activator over the film surface in 2 coats (one in each direction) from a distance of 25-35 cm.
Apply the right amount of product by adjusting the speed of movement and the distance to the support.

The activated film shows a slight stretch when it liquefies.
Carefully dip the part at an angle of 45°.
Leave the film immersed while stirring the part to evacuate the surplus of film.

Remove the film from the tray, rinse gently then lay out to dry.

After drying, a clear coat is necessary to ensure proper resistance of the printed pattern.

About the self-printed transfer film:
the film is composed of two layers - transfer film (thin and glossy) + support paper (thick and matt).
The printing is done on the glossy side: depending on the printer, this side is facing up or down.

Attention :

Recommended storage conditions for blank films:
Room temperature: 25 – 30 Celsius degree
Humidity: 60% - 80%

The soft PVA film is sensitive to moisture. When placed in too dry environment for a long time, the soft PVA film would stick to the back paper. When placed in too humid environment for long time, when printing the soft film is easily separated from back paper.

In the meanwhile, the back paper can be self-healing. If too dry, just place it in a highly moisture room for some days, it will recover to normal status. When too wet, place it in a dry/low moisture room for some days, it will recover to normal status.
Do not open the original package until you use it. With the original package, less influence by the environmental conditions

Usage of blank film:

Step 1: Print your picture or pattern by your ink jet printer with water basic pigment ink. Printed on glossy side.

Use " mirror printing" and " highest quality"

Step 2: Wait till the ink is totally dried and apply our activator A to protect the ink.

Step 3: Tape the borders of the film to limit the expansion of the film when placed on the water surface and pull off the stabilization paper of the backside.

Step 4: Place the film on the water ,the printed side face the air and fix it.

Step 5: Apply the second activator B to dissolve the film and wait about 45 seconds till the film is completely dissolved to ink.

Step 6: Dip the object into the film with an angle of 35-45 degrees to avoid air bubbles.

Step 7: Take out the object, flush away overhang parts of the film, wait till it is dry and apply a clear top lacquer as protection.
