Matt paints and topcoats for bodywork  

The matte effect : increasingly used on cars and motorcycles, even in series production by car manufacturers, it complements the classic varnishes and finishes with a furtive and aggressive touch.

The Variance Matte range offers 4 degrees of matte topcoat for cars and motorcycles : satin topcoat (60°)*, semi-matte topcoat (40°), matte topcoat (20°), Extrem matte topcoat(4°)*.

Our car matte topcoats are unique for their high scratch resistance and solidity.

Our automotive matte paints and topcoats have the peculiarity of being low gloss, not reflecting much light, or even absorbing it completely. The matt effect is both visual and tactile (velvety feel).

Our finishes are solvent-based PU acrylics that are suitable not only for car and motorcycle bodies, but also for design, furniture, architecture and decoration.

Our matte range is complemented by anti-scratch velvet effects and self-repairing rubber effects. Our products are regularly chosen by major brands of household appliances for their high resistance. They are based on new nanotechnologies. They adhere to most materials.

Stardust topcoats have all been subjected to a series of very demanding resistance tests in the laboratory, and each test has been successfully passed.

Matte paint and topcoat for motorcycles and cars

Our topcoats are fluid, drip resistant, quick to dry at room temperature or with baking. They are very easy to apply and offer remarkable resistance compared to other varnishes. They are professional quality 2K polyurethane finishes, delivered with hardener and thinner. Since 2020, our range has been totally updated with a remarkable technological leap forward, notably with a huge gain in solidity.

We therefore offer the widest range of matt motorcycle and car topcoats on the market. Different offers are proposed : aerosol topcoat, matte paint can ( black, white or colors to choose from), satin topcoat. Our paints and matt car body topcoats are available with a brilliance from 2° to 60° and we are the only ones to offer the new anti-scratch and auto repairable motorcycle and car matt topcoats.

The matt topcoats are applied in thin layers like topcoats and other 2K paints. It is during the drying process that "matting" is revealed.

Semi-gloss topcoat 60

This is a gloss level halfway between the classic high-gloss topcoat (90°) and the satin topcoat. Semi-gloss varnish is used when you want to accentuate the color by reducing the gloss.

Satin varnish 40

If pearlescent or metallic paint is used, satin varnish reinforces this silky effect, and removes the artificial over-gloss effect, giving way to the natural color and texture of the body metal.

Matte Topcoat 20

There's nothing extreme about it, and we're seeing more and more of it, on vehicles that have just left the assembly lines, the matte varnish has a low gloss of 20°. It's still a bit of gloss though!

Super matte topcoat 4

With this special finish, we are getting close to the non shine, even if there is still some (4°!). The super matt varnish is also called extreme because it gives a surprising impression, it reminds of everything but a chic and flashy vehicle, even if the deep matt effect is not lacking in elegance.
