Do you have a complete painting or touch-up project on your SEAT car?

We can help you not only with advice and instructions, but of course with your SEAT paint exactly matched to the original formula.

Our paints come in the form of solvent-based paint in cans or spray cans

As is the case with all modern car paints, i.e. pearl or metallic colours, the paint is supplied in a 1C base version. This is a single-component paint that must be varnished.

How to order

On this page you don't have to do anything, except choose one of the formats from 250 ml to 2L, above in the drop-down menu.

Instructions for applying the SEAT colour code

Clean your surface thoroughly, which must be sanded with an abrasive 500, then degreased, dusted

Stir and shake the aerosol or paint pot well before using it

Depending on your format, you will either have paint that is already diluted, or pure paint in which you will have to add 50 to 70% of thinner.

Use a paint gun with a nozzle from 0.8mm to 1.5mm

The application is always very easy with a matt base coat to varnish:
It is a question of applying very thin layers, waiting 2 minutes between each layer, until the surface is perfectly covered.

It is very important to apply the bodywork clearcoat 30 minutes after applying the SEAT paint

Find the technical sheet at the bottom of the page

Do you need a primer?

Normally if your base color is the same as the paint you buy, and if your old varnish is in good condition, then a simple sanding with water and a 500 abrasive sheet is sufficient.
A filling primer (primer) is needed when the base is damaged but also when painting a fairly transparent SEAT shade. That is to say that the final result may be different if different shades of gray have been used. You can check this with our colorist who will answer you the same day: colors@stardustcolors.com

Clearcoating is the final step
It is a very delicate technique that must be successful, by applying the right amount on the paint.
When too little clearcoat is applied, then a surface with little shine is obtained
When, on the contrary, too much is applied, it can cause drips.
In both cases it is easy to correct the defects with a light sanding and re-clearcoat

To clearcoat a SEAT paint, you must use a professional glossy bodywork clearcoat and apply 2 coats respecting a drying time of 10 minutes between the 2 coats.
Complete drying is normally 24 hours at heart
We recommend the 830 UHS in pot (kit) or in 2C aerosol can
