PEUGEOT motorcycle paints - Manufacturer's colors in solvent-based varnish base

Our company is dedicated to the manufacture of all types of paint, including automotive paints, but also specialized paints for "custom", decoration and architecture.

We have a professional system for reproducing factory colors of motorcycle manufacturers and in particular Peugeot brand paints.

The color code

If you do not know your color code, it is imperative that you look for it before contacting us. We cannot search for your color code among the hundreds of codes present in the Peugeot Scooter database.

We supply small 250ml or 500ml containers in a "ready-to-use" version, i.e. already diluted.
Larger containers are supplied in kits, i.e. pure paint and thinner separately.

The composition of our paints is: single-component solvent-based polyester acrylics
In automotive jargon, this is "two-coat paint"

These paints do not comply with Directive 2004/42/EC Annex II B. These paints are recommended for customization and decoration work on vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, jet skis, bicycles, helmets or collector cars. Also suitable for all objects, equipment, furniture and surfaces that have been properly prepared and/or primed

We work with a database that is regularly updated with new shades.
Sometimes, some color codes are not listed in our computer system, and in such a case, we unfortunately do not have the formula to recreate the paint.

Preparation of the scooter's supports and fairings before painting

For repair work, it may be necessary to use putty, then a filling primer.

In the absence of shock or very large or deep scratches, it is possible to paint directly on the old paint.
In all cases, sand with 500 grit sandpaper, degrease the surface well, and make sure that the surface is dust-free and completely dry before starting painting.

We still recommend using a primer. This is a product available in a pot or spray can, which forms a thick layer to level the surface well.

After sanding with P500, you get a perfectly smooth and new surface, ready to paint.
Using a primer also allows you to obtain a gray background (or sometimes other colors depending on the specificities of the Peugeot Scooter color code) that is regular and even, which will avoid differences in tone after the Peugeot scooter paint has dried.

Spray application

It is possible to work with aerosols or with a paint gun.

It is strongly recommended to work with an ambient temperature between 15 ° C and 25 ° C. Below or above this level, the paint dries either too slowly or too quickly.

The application is done in 2 to 4 thin layers. It is simply necessary to cover the background perfectly.

When doing touch-ups, you can do a gradient fade.

The paint must be left to dry for about 10 minutes, and can then be varnished, with a bodywork varnish aerosol, or a varnish in a pot: for this we offer a mini bodywork varnish kit

It is very important not to exceed 30 minutes after applying the Peugeot scooter paint, to apply the varnish, if you want to ensure perfect adhesion between the paint and its varnish, and avoid possible future peeling.
