Create a fishing lure with epoxy resin

To make castings, the material lends itself perfectly: whether for dimensions of 4 cm or parts up to 15 cm long and 2 cm wide, the transparency is always there. You can even play on the flexibility and make the creations less brittle by modifying the resin/hardener ratio.

To cast or varnish epoxy resin fishing lures, DIY molds are used with liquid casting latex or liquid casting silicone. You can also cover an existing fishing lure with a thick 4000 epoxy varnish to create a 2 to 5 mm layer of ultra hard and shiny varnish.

Epoxy resin offers the possibility of incorporating phosphorescent grains, fluorescent pigments, or even mother-of-pearl and glitter. In deeper waters, glow-in-the-dark lures are more likely to be spotted and attract the interest of curious and unwary fish :
